Warmest culinary greetings from Chefs Association of Malaysia!
Over the years, our chefs from Malaysia have been competed in various international cooking competition such Food & Hotel Asia, European Culinary Competition, Salon Culinaire Mondial Basel, Culinary Olympic Erfurt and Culinary World Cup and Luxembourg.
For year 2010 once again Chef Association of Malaysia are planning to send a team of senior and young chef to participate in 2 international cooking competitions.
1) FHA International Culinary Challenge-Singapore 2010
National team, comprising of 6 senior chefs will be competing in 2 categories
a-National Team Cold Table Display (aspic work)
b-National Team Restaurant Of Nations, Live Team Hot Cooking for 85 persons
2) Culinary World Cup-Luxembourg 2010
National team from over the world, comprising of 6 senior chefs will be competing in 2 categories
a-National Team Cold Buffet Display (aspic work)
b-National Team Restaurant of Nations, Live Team Hot Cooking for 110 persons
Currently the CAM committee are in search for valid candidates with good personality and team work spirit, a craftsperson with solid back ground profile, who has the experience and knowledge in the craft cookery, able to produce cold food (garde manger) and hot cuisine at highest possible level. Candidate with experience and exposure competing in national & international cooking arena with outstanding achievement will be an advantage.
Interested candidate have to submit their application form with their resume to the team captain and those meet the standard requirement will be short listed and be forwarded to CAM Committee .The candidate then will be required to attend a cooking trial session and cold food display presentation and will be evaluate by a panel of CAM committee and National Team Captain. Selected candidate will be notified at the end of the trial session and later will undergo national team training session as per training calendar.
